COMMITMENT PROFILE FILM EVALUATION Strengths: Chase Lasater is hard-nosed and heavy-headed. He absolutely lays the wood when making tackles from his linebacker spot, and has no fear when it comes to covering kicks and punts or when asked to lead block. He's extremely well built and strong, and appears to have the perfect mentality for a fullback. Areas Of Improvement: Depending on how Harbaugh wants to use Lasater, he may need to work on his offensive receiving skills. It's not something he's done much, but he seems to have the athletic ability and want-to to become service- able in that area. Michigan Player Comparison: There's no reason to think that Lasater can't be a slightly different version of Sione Houma. Lasater is much bigger already than Houma was coming out of high school, so he'll likely be able to handle anything Harbaugh wants to throw at him as long as he can develop the offensive skills necessary. Houma was more of a running back than Lasater is, but the Floridian should certainly be able to handle traditional fullback duties with some offen- sive bursts sprinkled in. — Analysis from TheWolverine.com "I know he's used guys on of- fense and defense before, so I like that opportunity." Lasater 's commitment seems a little impulsive, but he says it was just a feeling he got once he walked into the Al Glick Field House. Other schools have shown attention, but nothing to the level of what Har- baugh did as soon as he arrived on
