THE WOLVERINE 2016 FOOTBALL PREVIEW ■ 59 QUARTERBACKS PLAYER BIOS POSITION COACH Jedd Fisch, in his second season with the Wolverines, is entering his 18th year as a football coach. He is Michigan's passing game coordinator, quarter- backs coach and wide receivers coach. He coached graduate-transfer Jake Rudock during his lone season at U-M, during which the quarterback completed 64 percent of his passes and threw for 3,017 yards. Fisch came to Ann Arbor after two years as the offensive coordinator for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, whose roster included former U-M quarterbacks Denard Robinson and Chad Henne. The coach oversaw Robinson's 582 rushing yards on 135 attempts (4.3 yards per carry) before his season ended due to injury. Fisch also guided first-year quarterback Blake Bortles, who com - pleted 58.9 percent of his passes and garnered almost 3,000 yards passing in 13 starts for Jacksonville. Prior to joining the Jaguars, Fisch served as the offensive coordinator for the University of Miami from 2011-12, and coached at the University of Minnesota as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2009. Otherwise, he's spent most of his time in the NFL, with the Houston Texans (2001-03), Baltimore Ravens (2004-07), Denver Broncos (2008) and Seattle Seahawks (2010). Fisch coached the wide receivers for the Broncos and quarterbacks with the Seahawks, before moving into a coordinator role in college and then back to the NFL.
