74 ■ THE WOLVERINE 2016 FOOTBALL PREVIEW WIDE RECEIVERS PLAYER BIOS POSITION COACH Jedd Fisch, in his second season with the Wolverines, is entering his 18th year as a football coach. He is Michigan's passing game coordinator, quarterbacks coach and wide receivers coach. He came to Ann Arbor after two years as the offensive coordinator for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. Under Fisch in 2015, wide receivers Jehu Chesson and Amara Darboh plus tight end Jake Butt made school history by becoming the first U-M trio to surpass the 50-reception and 500-yard receiving marks in the same season. The Wolverine's offense exceeded 3,000 passing yards for the sixth time in school history, ranking fifth with 3,090 yards. Michigan finished the season by throwing for more than 250 yards in five straight games. Prior to joining the Jaguars, Fisch served as the offensive coordinator for the University of Miami from 2011-12, and worked at the University of Minnesota as the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2009. Otherwise, he's spent most of his time in the NFL, with the Houston Texans (2001-03), Baltimore Ravens (2004-07), Denver Broncos (2008) and Seattle Seahawks (2010). Fisch coached the wide receivers for the Broncos and quarterbacks with the Seahawks, before moving into a co - ordinator role in college and then back to the NFL. He had great success coaching the Broncos' receivers despite their youth — third-year pro Brandon Marshall was selected to the Pro Bowl after hauling in 104 passes for 1,265 yards and six touchdowns, while rookie Eddie Royal set career highs that still stand with 91 receptions and 980 receiving yards.
