88 ■ THE WOLVERINE 2016 FOOTBALL PREVIEW OFFENSIVE LINE PLAYER BIOS POSITION COACH Tim Drevno, in his second season with the Wolverines, is entering his 26th year as a football coach. He is Michigan's offensive co- ordinator and offensive line coach, coming to Ann Arbor after one year as USC's running game coordinator/ offensive line coach. Previously, Drevno worked with head coach Jim Harbaugh at the University of San Diego (2003- 06) and Stanford (2007-10), and with the San Francisco 49ers (2011-13). In the 2015 season, U-M ranked in the top 25 nationally in five offensive categories: red-zone offense (seventh), third-down conversions (17th), fewest fumbles lost (21st), fewest tackles for loss allowed (24th) and fewest turnovers lost (25th). Drevno also directed an offense in which tight end Jake Butt received first-team All-America honors and was named the Big Ten's Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year. Drevno served as the offensive line coach under Har - baugh for the 49ers, who won two NFC West titles during his time there. San Francisco played in the NFC Championship Game each of his three seasons and participated in Super Bowl XLVII. He coached a pair of Pro Bowl players in 2013 — Joe Staley and Mike Iupati — and all five of his offensive linemen were selected to the Pro Bowl in 2012. At Stanford, Drevno coached tight ends for the first two seasons and then the offensive line for two years. The Car - dinal offensive line was second in the nation for fewest sacks allowed in back-to-back seasons and helped pave the way for a ground game that set the school rushing yardage mark in 2009. Drevno was Harbaugh's offensive coordinator and of- fensive line coach at San Diego when the Toreros won the Pioneer League title in consecutive seasons (2005-06) and earned NCAA Division I-AA Mid-Major national champion- ships both years. The offense led the nation in total offense twice and finished third and ninth during his other two seasons. RETURNING PLAYERS BEN BRADEN • OL 5th-Sr. • Rockford, Mich.
