1. Cross Country — The program enjoyed its best season since 2003, finishing ninth nationally. The team completed its first Big Ten and NCAA Great Lakes Regional sweep since 1997, and the Wolverines capped the postseason with the 10th NCAA top- 10 finish in program history. Fifth-year senior Mason Ferlic and ju- nior Ben Flanagan led the way under second-year head coach Kevin Sul- livan, a former U-M great, in the best season since Sullivan's senior year. 2. Swimming and Diving — Michi- gan won its sixth consecutive Big Ten crown in 2015-16, marking the school's longest streak since winning 10 straight from 1986-95. U-M be- came the first Big Ten program to win conference titles in both men's and women's swimming and diving in the same year since 1997. The Wolverines went 11-0 during the dual-meet season (6-0 in the Big Ten) for their fifth consecutive unde- feated season and finished 12th at the NCAA Championships, its first non- top-10 finish since 2000. 3.
