I'm going to represent the program to my best [ability]." Jayson, who wants to major in business as well, said the visit to South Bend gave the brothers an op- portunity to bond with the assistant coaches, specifically defensive line coach Keith Gilmore, special teams and tight ends coach Scott Booker, and defensive coordinator Brian Van- Gorder. Through mid-July, Notre Dame held four pledges in the class of 2018 with Gibsonia (Pa.) Jay- son said members of his family tend to grow late — he said he's grown more than an inch in the past year — and if he outgrows the three-tech- nique he could slide to nose guard for the Irish. But don't think of him as a slow player. "Most people think I'm big. People see I weigh 280, but they don't know how fast I am," Jayson said. "My brother and I are really fast for our weight. With my size, I just use my speed." Jayson recorded 23 tackles and seven tackles for loss in eight games as a sophomore last year.
