MEN'S BASKETBALL lure Brey — and that might not even do it. Brey, who is extremely well- liked, is locked in through 2022 and has no shortage of stability right now at Notre Dame." Following his career at Notre Dame, Ayers played 50 games for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA's D-League in 2009-10. He then played for various clubs overseas, includ- ing Namika Lahti (Finland) in 2010- 11 and Boulazac Basket Dordogne (France) in 2011-12. He spent addi- tional time in France, with the Austin Toros of the D-League and again in Finland before his hiring at Bucknell. Humphrey, the 19th overall pick in 2002, was traded from the Jazz to the Orlando Magic on draft day, and lasted in the league through the 2004- 05 season, when his playing career shifted largely to various overseas teams. IRISH BOLSTER SCHEDULE Notre Dame has added several marquee non-conference games to its 2016-17 schedule. Brey's team will make their first ap- pearance in the Legends Classic. The Irish will host Bryant Nov. 12 and welcome Seattle to Purcell Pavilion Nov. 16. The tournament then shifts to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., for a Nov. 21 matchup against Colorado that will be broadcast on ESPN2. The winner of Notre Dame-Colo- rado will face either Texas or North- western in the championship game Nov. 22. The consolation game also will be played on that day. On Nov. 29, the Irish will host Iowa at Purcell Pavilion in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. Notre Dame lost at Iowa in the same event in 2013. Brey's team will then play in the inaugural Never Forget Tribute Clas- sic Dec. 10 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and face defending national champion Villanova at noon on CBS. ✦ Recruiting Notes • Hyattsville (Md.) Morsell has received offers from Cincinnati, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. • Notre Dame's top target at the center po- sition — 6-10, 260-pound Xavier Tillman — is no longer considering the Irish, a blow to Brey's recruiting efforts at a major position of need.
