Notre Dame has recruited the of-
fensive line as well as any team in
the country over the last five cycles.
Only USC (13), Ohio State (11) and
Texas (11) have signed more Ri-
vals250 offensive lineman than the
10 landed by Notre Dame since line
coach Harry Hiestand was hired in
December 2011.
When Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Acad-
emy offensive tackle Robert Hainsey
committed to Notre Dame July 10 on
ESPNU, it continued that trend of
bringing in the nation's top blockers.
Notre Dame's success on the recruit-
ing trail and its ability to produce
high draft picks up front makes it an
attractive destination for linemen.
Over the last three years, Notre
Dame has produced a pair of first-
round NFL Draft picks — Zack Mar-
tin (No. 16 overall in 2014) and Ron-
Coach Harry Hiestand Lands
Another Highly Rated Blocker
Rivals rates Hainsey as a four-star prospect, and the No. 11 offensive tackle and No. 64 overall player
nationally.
