TOP COACHES Coach of the Year honors were numerous. Most notably, men's tennis coach Brian Boland was named the 2016 ITA National Coach of the Year after leading the Cavaliers to their third NCAA champion- ship in the last four years. UVA (30-4) was the No. 1 seed entering the tourna- ment and emerged No. 1 in the Oracle/ITA National Collegiate Tennis Rankings. Women's golf coach Kim Lewellen was voted the ACC Coach of the Year for the third time in her ca- reer. Under Lewellen, the Cavaliers captured their second consecutive ACC championship and earned their 12th consecutive trip to an NCAA Regional. For the third straight year, Augie Busch was named the ACC Women's Swimming Coach of the Year. He guided the Cavaliers to their ninth con- secutive ACC championship, as well as a second consecutive fifth-place finish at the NCAA championship. The fifth-place finishes are the highest in program history. Todd Morgan became the first Virginia women's cross country coach to be named ACC Coach of the Year. Not only did the Cavaliers run to the ACC champion- ship but they also took the NCAA Southeast Regional title. As a result, Morgan also was named the USTF- CCA Southeast Region Wom- en's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
