70 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ BASKETBALL RECRUITING "NC State was nice. I got to go around and see the academics and stuff like that," said Anderson, who was joined by his mother. "I want to go up there again for an official visit soon. "Coach Gottfried talked about coming in and playing right away. I checked out the gym and the campus." Anderson would like to officially visit Baylor in August and has some general thoughts on who else is on his "short list." "I also want to go to Texas A&M for an official visit, and I did take an unofficial to LSU already," Anderson said. "Florida, probably, and TCU are in there. I'm kind of winding it down." Anderson has a good idea how he'd fit into NC State's offensive style of play. "They like how I am in transition, finish- ing at the rim," Anderson said. "I can be on the ball and have pick and roll opportunities. "Coach Pierre is cool, and he is hitting me up a lot. He'll talk to me or my mom about my home situation, game and the future." Anderson enjoyed experiencing the Ra- leigh area and contrasted it with his home- town of Baton Rouge. He hopes to meet the NC State players upon his return for an official visit. Anderson averaged 18.1 points, 5.8 as- sists and 4.6 rebounds per game as a junior at Madison Prep.
