Penn State manhandled in lopsided loss to No. 4 Wolverines
Penn State was on its heels from the very first
play Saturday against Michigan. A holding penalty
on the opening kickoff pushed the visiting Nittany
Lions back to their own 9-yard line to start the
game, and the fourth-ranked Wolverines held onto
that edge for the next 60 minutes, rolling to a 49-
10 victory.
"The first thing you've got to do is give Michigan
credit," coach James Franklin said a@erward.
"That's a good football team. That's a mature foot-
ball team, one of the most mature teams in the
country. They're ranked No. 4 for a reason, and
you've got to give them credit. We didn't play well."
