During the dinner for the 50th anniversary of the 1966 national champions, captain Jim Lynch
(standing) presented head coach Ara Parseghian (sitting) and his wife Katie new rings commemorat-
ing the achievements from that year. The now 93-year-old Parseghian was in his third season with
the Fighting Irish in 1966.
