116 ■ THE WOLFPACKER and Drew Grantham are trying to join Knight in competing in the all-around. Tamburro has done well in summer work- outs to bolster her chances. Fillard's older sister, senior Amanda Fil- lard, has been consistent in her Wolfpack career, and will do three events. Fellow se- niors Hannah Sobhan and Courtney Leigh- ton will help in bars and vault, respectively. Leighton is returning from a knee injury and has missed the last two years. Brooker and Grantham join fellow fresh- men Alexis Beucler and Nicole Palmer in a four-woman recruiting class. Beucler is overcoming a concussion, but Stevenson has high hopes for her future and she can do "three or four events." Stevenson said one of the key things freshman usually need to adjust to is go- ing from competing in front of friends and family, and then possibly 9,000 screaming fans at Georgia, for instance. "The thing that is so much different [in college], is that it is so much more about the team versus an 'I' situation," Stevenson said. "In the club level, they are compet- ing against themselves, even though they represent the club. "Here, they represent themselves, but they represent their team more than indi- vidual." ■ Dry Clean Your Carpets! commercial residential Since 1987 www.bmsdry.com Environmentally safe "green" system No soapy residue common to steam cleaning systems Fully bonded and insured Safe for children and pets • • • • No waiting on carpets to dry Proven system – millions of square feet cleaned in the Triangle since 1987 Wolfpack family owned and operated • • • Phone: 919-834-1990 • Fax: 919-834-1998 bms12@nc.rr.com – commercial jed.barbour@bmsdry.com – residential Ask about our Sure Step non-slip floor treatment!
