110 ■ THE WOLFPACKER that Caldwell — who qualified for the 50 and 100 freestyle plus the 100 back- stroke at the U.S. Olympic Trials, and the NCAA Championships in the 100 backstroke — gave NC State a big lift in relays last season. "If you look across the board our seniors are pretty strong, but we have a few ladies that are coming off big summers that I think can really help us," Holloway noted. "I know that on paper it's a talented group of women that we have coming back. "We have a very strong class with our seniors leading the way. They are defi- nitely motivated to perform even better in the pool." ■ AN INDEPENDENT AGENT HAS FREEDOM OF CHOICE. IS YOUR INSURANCE AGENT FREE TO GET YOU A BETTER DEAL? SM Bill Vogedes 252-482-4429 www.vogedesinsurance.com Three Swimmers To Watch Junior Hannah Moore The Michigan transfer made a significant impact at NC State after becoming eligible in January. She set school records in the 400 individual medley, and the 500 and 1,650 freestyle. She finished sixth and fourth in the 500 and 1,650, respectively, at the NCAA Championships, and also earned All-Amer - ica accolades in the 400 individual medley. During the summer, Moore was an Olympic Trials finalist in the 400 freestyle, finishing seventh. Senior Rachel Muller Like Moore, Muller is a strong distance freestyle swimmer. She was an All-American in the 200, 500 and 1,650 and also participated on the 800 free re - lay squad that finished 12th for honorable mention All-America honors. The Olympic Trials qualifier in the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle trails only Moore in the fastest times in school history for the 500 and 1,650 freestyle. Senior Alexia Zevnik Last season, Zevnik was a five-time All-American, including in the individual races of the 100 and 200 backstroke. She was a member of the 400 freestyle, 800 freestyle and 400 medley relay teams that placed at nationals. Zevnik was also All-ACC in the 200 individual medley and qualified for the Canadian Olympic Trials in four races (100 freestyle, 100 and 200 backstroke, and 200 individual medley). Her re - lay split of 47.91 seconds is the fastest 100 freestyle ever at NCSU, and she also has the best times ever in school history in the 100 and 200 backstroke, and 200 individual medley. ■ By The Numbers 25 Spots improved between head coach Braden Holloway's first year at NC State (2011-12) to last year in the team's finish at the NCAA Champion- ships. They were 34th in 2012 and ninth in 2016. 3 Consecutive years NC State has finished in the top 20 at the NCAA Championships. Before that, the Pack had just two previous top-20 finishes total since the NCAA began hosting the women's swimming championship in 1982. 2 ACC titles previously won by the women's swim- ming and diving program. The last was in 1982.
