Offense, defense shine in prime time romp over Hawkeyes
It will certainly be interesting to see what those
CFP rankings look like on Tuesday, won't it? Penn
State won't be going to college football's final four
this year, barring a miracle, and James Franklin's
next group text to his team will likely read "INDI-
ANA, INDIANA, INDIANA, INDIANA," or words
to that effect.
But a?er a 41-14 romp over visiting Iowa, the
Nittany Lions' fi?h win in a row and their most
convincing to date, one can't help but wonder how
much more improvement is in store in the polls.
Because the improvement on the field has been ex-
ponential.
The Lions, who were 12th in the first set of Col-
lege Football Playoff rankings, thrashed Iowa on
both sides of the ball Saturday night, racking up a
