Nine games into his fourth season at Central Catholic, he had amassed 290 career tackles, surpassing the old record of 277 held by former Northwestern linebacker Nate Williams. "It means a lot," Adams said of breaking the record. "There have been a ton of great players to go through Central and to hold the tackle record is special for me ." Adams, the nation's No. 4 inside linebacker and No. 113 overall player nationally according to Rivals, and Central Catholic (9-1) began play in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League Class 6A playoffs the opening weekend of November. • The Irish hosted just one official visitor over the Miami game weekend Oct. 29, Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville wide receiver Noah Igbinoghene. The three-star prospect has had Notre Dame listed in his top two since July. Igbinoghene thought about committing to head coach Brian Kelly and his staff over the weekend, but said afterward that he knew going in to the visit that he wanted to wait until he visits Duke in December to make his final decision. There is thought that if Auburn offers, the Tigers would become a major player. • Solomon Tuliaupupu, a four-star inside linebacker from Claremont (Calif.) High, has high interest in Notre Dame early in his recruitment process. The country's No. 4 inside linebacker in the class of 2018 according to Rivals, Tu- liaupupu said he has a good relationship with Notre Dame linebackers coach/ recruiting coordinator Mike Elston and hopes to see that bond grow between now and the time he makes a decision. Tuliaupupu also said he is attracted to Notre Dame because of the academic opportunities and has discussed the school with his father multiple times. • Notre Dame hosted 35 prospects from the class of 2018 and 2019 when they came to see the Irish host Miami Oct. 29. That group included four-star St. Louis Parkway North defensive tackle Michael Thompson (the No. 5 player at his posi- tion and No. 92 overall prospect in the class of 2019), four-star Big Stone Gap (Va.) Union tight end James Mitchell (No. 11 prospect at his position and No. 241 overall recruit in the class of 2018), and three-star Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North safety Tyrik Henderson (No. 27 player at his position in the class of 2018). — Corey Bodden and David McKinney Follow @BGI_CoreyBodden and @BGI_DMcKinney on Twitter for daily recruiting updates available on BlueandGold.com!
