A one-year Michigan sports supporter. I am a season ticket holder for both foot- ball and basketball. This year when I would read The Wolverine, I noticed a lot of finger pointing towards the football student section for being late to noon football games. I believe that this is unacceptable; Dear The Wolverine: I am a Michigan student and avid however, when it came to basket- ball games, the non-student areas of the arena were pathetic. Even for big games such as MSU, Wisconsin and OSU at home, there were still several unfilled seats when game time came. And although these would fill in, it is still extremely disappointing that students would show up well ahead of time and be the most spirited in the crowd, while alums and other fans would come in five minutes into the first half, and sit through most of the game. Not being satisfied with that, a student speaker started his speech with the same statement that, during his four years at school, Michigan had not beaten his MSU in football. Again, the cheering and the band playing that song again. How much can one take? It left a very bad taste in my mouth. One that could not be removed with brushing, flossing and mouth rinses. I must make a request to Brady and the Men of Michigan to please help me re- move this malodorous taste from my oral cavity come this Oct. 20. I could never take another graduation like that.
