The NBA TIM HARDAWAY JR. HAS STEPPED UP HIS GAME IN ATLANTA Former Michigan shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr.'s workhorse off- season is paying off. The Atlanta Hawks third-year player has been one of the team's top surprises in 2016, having averaged 12.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 as- sists in 20.9 minutes per game and upped his shooting percentage from 43 last year to 47.1 percent through nine games. He was shooting 34.8 percent from three-point range. "I just feel like we are going to go with whoever has the hot hand," Hardaway told The Atlanta Journal- Constitution after a 117-96 win over Philadelphia Nov. 13. "When you have a team like that, with that much depth, it shows how much trust we have in one another when someone is getting hot." The Hawks started the season 7-2 and had won four straight games heading into a Nov. 15 contest at Miami.
