Among the other newcomers, Choboy noted that freshman Sean Burnette re- minded the coach a lot of one of his former standouts: Beck Bond, who went 23-9 as a senior in 2015. Freshman Paul Spencer also enjoyed an undefeated fall in singles during his brief action, winning all four matches. Both Burnette and Spencer were four-star signees. Sophomore Chris Mikrovas (seven sin- gles wins) and redshirt sophomore Michael Ogden (five singles victories) gained expe- rience last spring to build upon. "I'm never going to concede," Choboy said. "I don't believe in rebuilding. I'm not going to lower the bar or expectations. Young doesn't mean you can't win. "We just have to come together and work hard. We do have some good pieces." ■ Freshman Alexis Galarneau has a chance to play towards the top of the singles lineup. PHOTO COURTESY NC STATE MEDIA RELATIONS Management Professionals, Inc.
