first week of December. Franklin did the same in the second week of December, just before the dead period began. With Tennessee fading in the second half of the season, and Penn State surging to the Big Ten championship, we felt as though PSU was the team to beat as of early De- cember. Corey Bolds SCHOOLS Top six: Penn State, Cal, Clemson, Georgia, Pitt, Rutgers THE LATEST Bolds, a defensive tackle from Paramus, N.J., took an o7cial visit to Penn State on the weekend of Nov. 5-6. From what we've gathered, the Nittany Lions have a real chance if they really want him. But with Fred Hansard having com- mitted and the sta6 having only a handful of scholarships le8, we don't believe that Bolds will make a commitment at this time. If the Lions were to miss out on other top prospects at di6er- ent positions, he could be someone to watch in late Jan- uary. We believe the sta6 would prefer to add Dalyn Wade-Perry or Elijah Conli6e if it opts to sign another de- fensive tackle. Elijah Conlie SCHOOLS Top 12: Penn State, Alabama, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, North Car- olina State, Oklahoma, Mis- sissippi, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, USC, West Virginia THE LATEST Conli6e has been leaning toward Alabama since the summer, but the defensive tackle from Hampton, Va., did use his 5rst o7cial visit to attend Penn State's game against Iowa. He had a lot of good things to say, most notably that his parents were very impressed with what Penn State has to o6er aca- demically. Conli6e's parents also like that the Lions' sta6 has consistently pri- oritized their son throughout the process. However, it does feel as though it's only a matter of time until he com- mits to Alabama. Many of those who cover the Tide's recruiting e6orts already consider him a silent commit. Conli6e still has four o7cial visits remaining, al- though it's unclear when he will set those dates. He's one of Penn State's top prospects, so we believe he could commit at any time, but we're expecting him to end up in Tuscaloosa. Josh Kaindoh SCHOOLS Penn State, Alabama, Geor- gia, Florida State THE LATEST Kaindoh took an o7cial visit to Penn State on the weekend of Nov. 26-27 for the game against Michi- gan State. A few days later, he backed out of his commitment to Maryland. During the season, Kaindoh took o7cial visits to Florida State and Maryland. He then used his 5nal two o7cials to see Georgia and Alabama in the 5rst two weeks of December. The Tide and Seminoles are believed to be Penn State's top competi- tors for the 5ve-star defensive end, who BOLDS MOVE If the Nittany Lions sign an- other defensive tackle in their upcoming class to join Fred Hansard, it may be Bolds of Paramus, N.J.
