But if the Lions have shown anything
this year, it's that they're not burdened by
the
past. This is a team that has repeat-
edly
shrugged o= bad quarters and even
bad
halves. It's a team that simply doesn't
know when the cause is lost, because, to
their way of thinking, it's
never lost.
The Lions could have written o= their
season a>er falling to Michigan, 49-10,
in their Big Ten opener, their second de-
feat in three weeks.
They didn't.
They could have given up on their bid
to upset No. 2 Ohio State when they
found themselves trailing by two touch-
downs in the fourth quarter.
They didn't do that, either.
They could have given up on their title
hopes a>er falling behind Wisconsin by
21 points in the second quarter of the Big
Ten
Championship Game.
We
all know how that ended.
During
its 13 games this season, Penn
State has rallied back from four double-
digit deer trailing by 10 in the third
quarter. It scored 31 of the game's er h punt of
the a>ernoon, Trace McSorley stepped
up in the pocket and delivered a pass to
Irvin Charles at mid
