South Brunswick * As of Jan. 15 V E R B A L C O M M I T M E N T S * work out at one of the two outside linebacker positions this spring. Physi- cally, he has the frame to add 10, 15, maybe even 20 pounds in the upcoming year, so we expect that to be his pri- mary focus. That said, it's no secret that help is needed at linebacker, so a redshirt isn't a given. Of course, how all four prospects handle the combination of classes, training and practice will ultimately impact their chances of receiving early playing time. But even if they do get o# to a slow start, enrolling early will only help their long-term development. Sure, they will just be another group of freshmen once spring practice gets started, but the op- portunity to get their feet wet could prove invaluable once the season begins. That's especially true in 2017, as the cur- rent roster has proven that it's just a few pieces away from being something spe- cial. ■
