A huge crowd, just to prove that Penn State is alive and well! I need that for me, and everyone else might need that too! I want to see enthusiasm from the players and the crowd. A lack of injuries would be nice too! A meaningful squad game scrimmage that is LioninHouston pennstgrad used to measure where they are at in the new sys- tem. It is my opinion – and I thought this all along – that with good QB coaching, McGloin would win the job rather easily. Apparently, O'Brien agrees, since McGloin is taking most first-unit snaps. McGloin is perfectly fit for the underneath offense with the tight ends that O'Brien likes, and it hap- pens fast and receivers run routes that can't be jumped. Finally, a Blue-White Game that is not treated as a joke. Quarterback battle. (Paul Jones specifically.) Offensive line. Secondary. NYNY RCotto18 A sold-out crowd will (1) let the team/coaches know that we did not turn our backs on them and (2) recruits will see vast interest by the fans and possibly make their decision easier. If it's on [tele- vision], it will show the nation that although we may have slipped, we are up and standing strong behind our Nits! I am interested in seeing the team simulate game day execution more than the formations or the plays, which by O'Brien's own admission, are just the skeleton of his system. I will be watching how the team moves. Are the plays called and exe- cuted within the same span of time on each down? How are the defensive formations called and which coaches are on the field and in the press box, if any? For me, it will be seeing how the team functions. I hope to see discipline and exe- cution rather than a cluster... you get my meaning. It is as much what the system looks like as how well the team has progressed toward becoming a team that is most important. I want to see if I still have what it takes to put on a good tailgate Every year I want to see the how the younger players are progressing. Who is going to replace the starter from the previous season? BT802 I want to see greater pocket presence by [Rob What isn't there to be excited about with this coaching staff and the new approaches they've taken? buhocon Offensive and defensive schemes and play-call- ing. QB battle. One area that has been under the radar so far is special teams. I think there is a new emphasis with this staff on special teams, which is much needed for PSU. wradidas49 I'm excited to see the new offense and how we PSUJim85 TPSU_Lion utilize our players. We have a lot of talent, so it will be interesting to see how our offense takes shape. AC-LION I'm the most excited for a look at the unknowns. Players who haven't seen much time for one rea- son or another but were highly regarded and who are expected to contribute. Players like Alex Kenney, Derrick Thomas, Bill Belton, Paul Jones, Deion Barnes, [and] Garry Gilliam. Also the new offensive look. The Mad Dog Bolden] and better decision-making by [Matt McGloin], which will hopefully reduce intercep- tions. wible4psu hat20 4 A P R I L 3 0 , 2 0 1 2 W W W . B L U E W H I T E O N L I N E . C O M
