McCracken was a four-year starter at Loyalsock. He excelled on both sides of the ball, 9nishing his career with 273 tackles, including 42 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. He was the Sun-Gazette's De- fensive Lineman of the Year as a senior, and on o:ense, he won 9rst-team Class AAA All-State honors. Also set to join the Lions is receiver Justin Weller of West Lawn, Pa. Listed at 6-1, 194 pounds, Weller played only one season at Wilson High. He spent his 9rst three high school seasons in suburban Chicago before his family moved to Pennsylvania. According to stats compiled by PennLive.com, Weller 9nished his sen- ior season with 43 receptions for 553 yards and eight touchdowns. He also re- turned kicks for the Bulldogs. TheNittany Lions have already wel- comed defensive back Jabari Butler. A former three-star prospect who played his high school football at Bishop Gor- man in Las Vegas, Butler enjoyed a standout prep career in which he totaled 63 tackles and 9ve interceptions in two seasons. Originally from Potomac, Md., Butler selected Abilene Christian coming out of high school, choosing it over o:ers from Rice, Tulane and Wyoming. He got o: to a strong start, totaling six inter- ceptions in his freshman season. The following year, he appeared in six games, making 14 tackles and breaking up two passes. Butler visited Penn State for its game against Michigan State in November. He joins the Nittany Lions as a walk-on with the opportunity to earn a scholar- ship as early as this fall. Listed as a jun- ior on the team's updated roster, he measures 5-11, 180 pounds. He will redshirt this coming fall. Several additional high school stand- outs are set to join the team as preferred walk-ons.
