From the follow-
ing his junior season, Franklin wanted to
recruit one running back in the Class of
2017. That player turned out to be
Brown, a three-star prospect from
Meadville, Pa. Brown put up spectacular
numbers at Meadville High, rushing for
over 7,200 yards in his career. But with
four running backs ahead of him at Penn
State, it's likely that he will be redshirted
in 2017.
It's also likely that the Lions will sign
two running backs in 2018. They already
have received a verbal commitment from
four-star prospect Ricky Slade, and it
wouldn't be surprising if they were to
land another ball carrier.
