HE DID
Two years a=er :nishing as the state runner-
up, Paramus Catholic won the NJSIAA Non-Public Group 4
championship in 2016, thanks in large part to Bolds' eight-
tackle performance in the title game. The Paladins ended the
season with a 10-2 record and were ranked No. 1 in the state
and No. 36 in the nation. A four-year letterman, Bolds had
79 tackles as a senior, including four that went for losses. He
was also a team captain.
WHAT HE WON A third-team All-State choice by NJ.com as
a senior, Bolds earned a spot on NorthJersey.com's All-North
Jersey :rst team at defensive tackle. Rivals.com rates him a
three-star recruit. He's considered the 46th-best defensive
tackle in the country and the No. 18 overall prospect in New
Jersey.
WHERE HE VISITED Bolds' recruitment started o; with a
bang during his junior year, as he earned o;ers from top pro-
grams such as Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Ten-
nessee and Virginia Tech. The Wolverines at one point
appeared to be the favorites, but in the end, Penn State, Min-
nesota and Rutgers were the only schools that continued to
