A one-year football season is about to begin. The season opener against Alabama at Cowboys Stadium is much antici- pated. Will the game be a foreteller of what we can expect from our beloved Wolverines in 2012? If Michigan wins in Arlington, then we will hope so. If Michigan loses, we will accept it as inevitable since Alabama was ranked No. 2. We know that Brady Hoke put together a memorable season in 2011. No one did him or his coaches a favor with the upcoming schedule. I know that every game on the Dear The Wolverine: If you are reading this letter, the schedule is a challenge. However, the road game and home game mix this year looks unusually tough. I do not know about you, but I believe that the schedule is a potential minefield standing in the way of success for 2012. How many think that Michigan can beat Alabama, Notre Dame, Ne- braska, and "Ohio" on the road, and MSU and Iowa at home? Starting against a defending national champion, factoring in the road night games, and playing most of the toughest teams from the most formidable Big Ten ever (given the addition of Nebraska), you could say it's more than a challenge.
