Recruiter of record: Cornerbacks and assistant head coach for defense George Barlow. Quotable: "Isaiah is just so athletic. He's very versatile. He plays inside and outside for us, but he's going to be an outside guy in college. He's an edge rusher. He's so long he gets his hands on people, and he's really good in pass coverage." — L.C. Bird head coach David Bedwell (The Richmond Times-Dispatch) Dave Doeren on Moore: "We had him in camp, and he is just a joy to be around. Isaiah has a great motor and great energy. He has a really positive outlook on things he wants to do and comes from a tremendous family." Scouting report: Played for a well-coached defense in high school that prepares players for college … Has good instincts, moves well and is a solid tackler … Will need to get bigger and stronger. 2017 projection: Physically, Moore probably needs to add more weight and strength before he is ready for the physicality of college football. A redshirt year might do him good. Larrell Murchison DEFENSIVE TACKLE Louisburg (N.C.) Quotable: "It really came together when I talked to coach Dave Doeren. He really explained a lot of things to me. I trust him, and I feel like he can make things happen at NC State. We are going to make it happen." — Larrell Murchison Scouting report: Blossomed physically and academically at Louisburg … Quick and agile for a defensive tackle … Projects as a three-technique defensive tackle in college. 2017 projection: NC State likes to rotate four players, at a minimum, along the interior defen - sive line. There is an opening after the graduation of reserve defensive tackle Monty Nelson, and Murchison will be in the competition to fill it. Nakia Robinson Jr. RUNNING BACK Miami Jackson High School • 5-11, 185 pounds Stats: For his career, ran 152 times for 836 yards and 10 touchdowns. Recruitment: Also had offers from Appalachian State, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Idaho, Navy, Southern Miss, Temple and Utah State … Ver- bally committed to the Wolfpack July 23 … Oregon State pursued him after his pledge, but he stayed firm. Recruiter of record: Wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator George McDonald. Quotable: "I have good vision, and I have speed to get me where I want to go." — Nakia Robinson Dave Doeren on Robinson: "One of the things we really liked about him is his quickness, his breakaway speed, his agility. He's a guy we can move in and out of the backfield and do some of the things that Matt [Dayes] was able to do as a versatile player." Scouting report: Played all over the field for Jackson, but mostly lined up at running back and cornerback … Although many schools recruited him for corner, NCSU will first use him at running back … Shows good speed and quickness on film. 2017 projection: The first priority with Robinson is making sure he is at the right position. He could easily fit in at either corner or running back. Once settled, Robinson could probably use a redshirt year to get acclimated to the college game and focusing full-time on one position.
