On junior day Feb. 18, one-time Tennessee commit Bryson Richardson from Buford (Ga.) High vis- ited NC State. Rivals.com ranks the 6-0, 180-pounder as a three-star recruit, the No. 42 prospect in Georgia and the No. 34 safety nationally. Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and West Virginia have also offered. The Pack will try to go back into the Dw- yer High in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., pipe- line with safety Cameron Jonas. Head coach Dave Doeren has signed three players from that school since arriving at NC State. The 6-2, 190-pound Jonas also has offers from Kentucky, Miami, Syracuse and Wisconsin. Locally, a pair of safeties are on the board: two-star Javon Terry from Wake Forest (N.C.) High and four-star Nate Thompson from Sanford (N.C.) Southern Lee High. Thompson recorded 84 tackles, four intercep- tions and seven passes broken up last season. Duke, South Carolina and Virginia Tech have also offered the 6-3, 180-pounder. Rivals.com rates him as the No. 12 recruit in North Caro- lina and the No. 19 safety nationally. Terry (6-2, 185) also reports offers from East Carolina and North Carolina.
