C O M 14 Penn State is set to host another legacy prospect, as rising senior wide receiver Solomon Enis will be part of a large con- tingent of recruits who are expected to attend the Blue-White Game this week- end. A four-star prospect from Phoenix, Enis is the son of former Nittany Lion running back Curtis Enis. Since picking up an offer from James Franklin in Febru- ary, he said he's built a strong relation- ship with both the head coach and wide receivers coach Josh Gat- tis. "It's been mainly Coach Gattis. He's the one I've been talking to the most," Enis said. "We've been talking almost every day. We talk about a little bit of everything, whether it be our lives or football or how I'm doing in track. He's been telling me a lot about how I'm a great fit for Penn State, not just for football, but academi- cally, too. You can tell he's a good guy and player's coach. "I've also been able to talk to Coach Franklin some. He's been telling me that everyone is really grinding right now and that everything is looking good during spring ball. It's been nice getting to know him, too." Despite his father's ties to the univer- sity, Solomon's trip for the Blue-White Game will be his first time in University Park. He and his father are planning to arrive on Friday afternoon. They're plan- ning to stick around until Sunday evening, giving Enis an opportunity to not only check out the atmosphere inside Beaver Stadium, but also enough time to tour facilities, meet with the coaching staff and see some of the town. One of the things Enis said he's eagerly awaiting is the opportunity to meet Franklin and Gattis face to face. To this point, they've only been able to talk over the phone, but he said that both coaches seem to fit the style that he's looking for. "They both seem like pretty cool guys, but at the same time, they're also going to get on you and coach you when it's time to go," he said. "That's what I like. I like the kind of coach that you can come to and talk to and also have fun. But also, when it's time to go, it's time to go. That's what I like." Enis has earned 13 scholarship offers, most of them from Pac-12 programs. He's received offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington State, as well as F O O T B A L L R E C R U I T I N G Lions to host many top prospects ANTICIPATED BLUE-WHITE GAME VISITORS Verbally committed 2018 prospects NAME POS HOME SCHOOL Justin Fields* QB Kennesaw, Ga.
