PSU showcases improved depth in a spirited intrasquad game
It looks as though Penn State is still a second-half
football team.
ABer a first half in which the two teams in the
Nittany Lions' intrasquad scrimmage produced a
total of six points, all on field goals, backup quar-
terback Tommy Stevens took charge of the starter-
heavy Blue and led it to three touchdowns en route
to a 26-0 victory over the White on Saturday af-
ternoon at Beaver Stadium.
Over the final two quarters of a game whose pace
can best be described as brisk, Stevens completed
17 of 24 passes for 216 yards. Included in that total
