mer. We're under the impression that multiple schools would like to see aca- demic improvement this semester be- fore taking the next step. JACK LAMB ILB, Temecula, Calif., Great Oak SCHOOLS Penn State, Arizona, Ari- zona State, Baylor, Boise State, Califor- nia, Colorado State, Duke, Iowa State, Louisville, Navy, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Princeton, Purdue, TCU, UCLA, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington, Washington State THE LATEST (May 4) Lamb visited Penn State in early April and leC town with an offer that day. His parents are PSU alumni, so this is an important offer for the California prospect. Notre Dame, Oklahoma and TCU are just a handful of the schools that followed in recent weeks, so we expect him to take a few more visits this summer before making a decision. So far, he's seen Cal, Oregon, Stanford and Washington. As of now, we believe that PSU should be considered the favorite. XAVIER PETERS OLB, West Chester, Ohio, Lakota West SCHOOLS Penn State, Alabama, Bowl- ing Green, Cincinnati, Florida, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Michigan State, Miss. State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pitt, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, Toledo, UCLA, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Wisconsin THE LATEST (May 4) Peters was plan- ning to visit Penn State this spring, but he didn't end up making the trip. He elected to visit Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio State during his spring break, which was the second week in April. Penn State continues to be one of the schools that he speaks with the most, so we'll be watching Pe- ters for a visit in June. Alabama may be a team to watch now that he's visited. Also, his school, Lakota West, has sent a few players to Kentucky in recent years, so that could help the Wildcats. SHAYNE SIMON OLB, Jersey City, N.J., St. Peter's Prep SCHOOLS Penn State, Army, Boston College, Duke, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Northwest- ern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Rutgers, Stanford, Syracuse, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin THE LATEST (May 4) Simon landed an offer from Penn State back in January, but he wasn't able to visit until early in April. As expected, he spoke highly of the coaching staff and what PSU can offer academically, but he doesn't ap- pear to be in any rush to make a deci- sion. Simon also visited Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford and UCLA this spring, so we'll be looking for him to narrow his list this summer before taking the next step. He has no additional visits in the works, but should hit the road again at some point in June or July. HOUSTON GRIFFITH Saf., Bradenton, Fla., IMG Academy SCHOOLS Penn State, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Mary- land, Michigan, Michigan State, Min- nesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Car- olina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Pitt, Purdue, South Car- olina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Toledo, UCLA, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin THE LATEST (May 4) Griffith visited Penn State for the second time at the end of March to watch spring practice. He's been speaking with multiple coaches – Josh Gattis, Ricky Rahne, Tim Banks and Terry Smith – since the fall, but Griffith has also been visiting a lot of schools. Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee have all earned visits since February, so he won't be an easy pull. PSU is right around his top five, so another visit this summer could prove to be important. VERONE McKINLEY III CB, Carrollton, Texas, Hebron SCHOOLS Penn State, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, UCLA THE LATEST (May 4) Penn State was hoping to get McKinley on campus for the Blue-White Game in April, but he wasn't able to make the trip. However, Terry Smith remains in contact with McKinley, as does Isaiah Humphries, as the two of them work out together in the off-season. We know Smith was in Texas to see McKinley in late April, and the two continue to speak regularly. Because of that, we still think there's a real chance that McKinley could visit this summer. JORDAN MINER Saf., Wesley Chapel, Fla., Wiregrass SCHOOLS Penn State, Auburn, Bowl- ing Green, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mary- land, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina State, Oregon, South Carolina, South Florida, Syracuse, Tennessee, Toledo, Tulane, UCF THE LATEST (May 4) Miner was plan- ning to visit Penn State in April for the Blue-White Game, but he didn't make the trip. He's now saying that he'll visit in June, most likely the same weekend that PSU hosts a camp. Miner has real interest in the Lions, but we don't be- lieve he's ever visited. He's talked about it a few times but hasn't actually made the trip. Florida, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Tennessee are a few schools that he visited this spring. KWANTEL RAINES Saf., Aliquippa, Pa., Aliquippa SCHOOLS Penn State, California, Florida, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Michigan State, Pitt, South Carolina, TCU, Vir- ginia Tech, West Virginia, Wisconsin THE LATEST (May 4) Raines took three visits to Penn State this spring, the most recent of which was for the Blue- White Game in April. He also attended a Junior Day in February and spent a weekend in State College at the end of March. He also took multiple visits to Pitt and West Virginia in recent months, and we expect that to continue into the summer. Raines still plans to use his official visits this fall. Both Brent Pry and Tim Banks stopped at Aliquippa during the first week of the spring eval- uation period. ISHEEM YOUNG Saf., Philadelphia, Pa., Imhotep Charter SCHOOLS Penn State, Alabama, Ari- zona, Baylor, Clemson, Florida State, J U N E 9 , 2 0 1 7 B L U E W H I T E O N L I N E . C O M 11
