J U N E 9 , 2 0 1 7 B L U E W H I T E O N L I N E . C O M 5 Penn State still has plenty of work to do as it works to assemble the Class of 2018. The early signing period isn't until December, and signing day isn't until February. Here's a look at many of the players the Nittany Lions are still pursuing: OFFENSE SHAQUON ANDERSON-BUTTS WR, Harrisburg, Pa., Harrisburg SCHOOLS Penn State, Arizona, Boston College, Buffalo, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Mary- land, Mich. State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia THE LATEST (May 24) Anderson-Butts visited Penn State for the Blue-White Game. He was also invited to attend the small Junior Day that the staff hosted, but he didn't end up making the trip. West Virginia was the only other school he visited this spring. We know that PSU would like to add two more re- ceivers in the 2018 class, so we'll continue to monitor An- derson-Butts, but we do be- lieve that Aron Cruickshank, Jahan Dotson, Solomon Enis, Daniel George and Darryle Simmons are all ahead of Anderson-Butts at this time. ARON CRUICKSHANK WR, Brooklyn Hall Campus, Brooklyn, N.Y. SCHOOLS Penn State, Connecticut Michigan, Ohio State, Syracuse, Wis- consin THE LATEST (May 1) Cruickshank vis- ited Penn State for the Blue-White Game. He also said the Nittany Lions were among of his favorites following the visit. Cruikshank doesn't appear to be in any rush to make a decision, but if the staff is able to land another com- mitment at wide receiver in the coming months, that could force him to decide sooner than he'd prefer. He says he has no plans to make a decision until the start of his season, at the earliest. JAHAN DOTSON WR, Hightstown, N.J., The Peddie School SCHOOLS Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State THE LATEST (May 24) Dotson was supposed to visit Michigan on May 20, but it doesn't look as if he made the trip. That could bode well for the Lions, as Dotson had previously said that he would like to make a commitment early this summer. However, that could also push back his decision, so there are a lot of questions surrounding his recruit- ment right now. We'll continue to reach out to Dotson to try and learn more. SOLOMON ENIS WR, Phoenix, Ariz., North Canyon SCHOOLS Penn State, Arizona, Ari- zona State, Cal, Colorado, Duke, Geor- gia, Kentucky, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt, Wash- ington State The Latest (May 1) The son of former Penn State RB Curtis Enis, Solomon visited Penn State for the first time for the Blue-White Game. He leC with a lot of praise for the entire university, so it does feel as if the Lions are going to be serious players here. Enis has visited Arizona State a few times and he was expected to go to Cal for a visit later in May. He'll also camp at USC in June. It's still unclear if he'll be able to return to PSU this summer, but he has said that he'll return for an official visit in June. He's one of the Nittany Lions' top de- fensive tackle targets, but he's also being pur- sued by Notre Dame, where his brother plays. Photo courtesy of Rivals.com
