In the world of emojis on social media, having "fire" replaced with five small pictures of a fire is really good. When three-star tight end Messiah Swinson from Long Island (N.Y.) Lutheran received one of his latest recruiting graphics in May from NC State football's revamped recruiting staff, Swinson could not help but display his impression: "NC State always coming with the [five fire emojis]," he tweeted. Sitting in his office, NC State's director of creative media Tyler McEntire was probably smiling. McEntire is one of four new hires by head coach Dave Doeren since February in the recruiting office. Billy Glasscock heads the new-look staff as director of personnel. He has two assistants: Will Christopherson and one-time NC State offensive lineman Merci Falaise. McEntire arrived at NC State from Appalachian State. He had been a graduate assistant there when the Mountaineers' recruiting office consisted of just one worker. Since it was all hands on deck, McEn- tire self-taught himself how to work with graphics. "I did not graduate college anything creative," McEntire insisted. "I graduated psychology."
