Hunt pumped in a career-high 34 points and five three-pointers in a 75-68 loss versus Nor- folk State on Jan. 18, 2016. The 6-2 and 175-pounder had always be- lieved he could play at the ACC level. The former Dudley High and Chris Paul All- Star's standout is glad to see how things have evolved during his college career, culminat- ing in playing for the Wolfpack. He picked NC State over East Carolina and Pacific. "Coach Keatts was excited that I com- mitted," he said. "Everything happens for a reason. If I didn't go to the other places in college, I'd never be ready to play at NC State. I always felt I could play at that level and succeed and do well. "Now I am being given the opportunity. NC State's Men's Basketball Departures BeeJay Anya, center Anya's weight fluctuated between 290 and 355 pounds during his Wolfpack career, affecting his play on the court. He averaged 2.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per game as a senior, and finished with a school-record 243 career blocks. Terry Henderson, shooting guard The West Virginia transfer, who is originally from Raleigh, averaged 13.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while shooting 38.4 percent from three-point land this past season. He tried to get a sixth year of eligibility, but was denied by the NCAA. Ted Kapita, power forward/center The 6-8, 219-pounder surprisingly became a one- and-done, turning pro and signing with an agent this spring. He averaged 4.3 points and 3.4 re - bounds in 12.6 minutes per game, and shot 60.8 percent from the field. The Kinshasa, Congo, native played in 26 games, and had 14 points and 10 re- bounds in the 84-82 win Jan. 23 at Duke. Maverick Rowan, small forward Rowan elected to turn professional after two years at NC State. He averaged 12.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, and shot 36.1 percent from three-point land. He missed seven games due to concussion-like symptoms, but reached double figures in 12 ACC games, including 31 points and eight three-pointers in the overtime loss against Syracuse. Dennis Smith Jr., point guard The Fayetteville, N.C., native spent a year and a half at NC State, but was expected to turn pro. Smith earned second-team All-ACC honors and was named the league's Freshman of the Year. He aver - aged 18.1 points, 6.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game, and shot 35.9 percent from three- point land. He had 32 points and four three-pointers in the 84-82 win Jan. 23 at Duke, and posted triple- doubles against both Virginia Tech and Syracuse.
