Her 86.7-percent shooting from the free throw line was not only the fifth-best single-season mark in program history, it ranked 22nd nationally. Her 84.8-percent career accuracy at the foul line is second only to All-American Linda Page's 85.3 career mark from 1982-85. Even though Wilson only played three seasons in Raleigh, she still ranks seventh all time in made three-point shots (163) and is tied for ninth with 84 games of 10 Here are the top 10 female athletes during the 2016-17 school year at NC State after the duo of Miah Spencer and Dominique Wilson, The Wolfpacker's Co-Female Athletes of the Year: 1. Alexia Zevnik, swimming In her final meet for NC State, the departing senior set a new ACC record for the fastest 200 backstroke while finishing second overall at the NCAA Championships. She also finished sixth in the 200 individual medley and 11th in the 100 backstroke to collect two more All-America honors and was part of a pair All-America relays (400 freestyle and 400 medley). Zevnik won the ACC title in the 100 and 200 backstrokes and 200 individual med - ley en route to being named the league's Most Valuable Swimmer. 2. Erika Kemp, cross country/track & field She was the top finisher in five of the six races she ran for NC State in cross country on a squad that finished fourth at the NCAA Championships, and in that particular meet she garnered All-America honors by placing 17th. During the in - door track season, Kemp took home the ACC title in the 3,000-meter run and was a second-team All-American in the 5,000 meters after finishing 11th at the meet. During the outdoor track slate, the senior was a three-time ACC Performer of the Week honoree with a dominant season in the 5,000-meter race, running the second-fastest time in school history and coming within eight seconds of Betty Springs' record from 1985. She was also a second-team All-American in the race at the NCAA Championships. 3. Rachel Koon, cross country/track & field Koon, a rising redshirt junior, was one of the standouts on the cross country squad. She was an All-American after her 25th-place finish at the NCAA Champi- onships, and she was the top finisher at the ACC Championships (fourth place for All-ACC honors) in NCSU's league-winning effort. She was named a second-team All-American in the 3,000-meter run at the NCAA Championships for indoor track with a 15th-place finish. 4. Hannah Moore, swimming The former Michigan transfer and rising senior was a two-time All-American this year, finishing fifth at the NCAA Championships in both the 500 and 1,650 freestyle, setting a new school record in the former. She also was All-ACC in both of those races in addition to the 400 individual medley. 5. Megan Moye cross country/track & field The senior was third in the 1,500-meter race during the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships after garnering second-team All-America honors in the indoor mile with a 12th-place finish. She also set a new school record in the indoor mile. During the cross country season, Moye helped the Wolfpack finish fourth at the NCAA Championships. 6. Tyler Ross, softball Ross was named first-team All-ACC and second-team all-region after leading NC State in several offensive categories, including home runs (11), runs batted in (41), runs scored (46), walks (28) and stolen bases (20). She was also second on the team in batting average (.318), hits (56), doubles (eight) and triples (two). Ross finished her career with the third-best batting average (.329) and third-most stolen bases (57) in school history. 7. Chelsea Knight, gymnastics The rising senior was a NCAA Championships qualifier in the all-around after being named first-team All-East Atlantic Gymnastics League on the vault, bars and all- around, and second-team all-league on the beam. She was a two-time EAGL Gymnast of the Week and finished second on the floor and third in the all-around at the conference championship meet. Knight garnered 10 first-place finishes throughout the season. 8. Ky-Lee Perry, swimming Perry was the ACC Freshman of the Year after winning the conference's 50 freestyle in a school-record time and participating on three All-America relay teams at the NCAA Championships (200 free, 400 free and 200 medley). She was also third at the ACC meet in the 100 free. 9. Julia Brown, volleyball Brown, a rising senior, was named first-team All-ACC and also selected all-region after setting a rally-scoring era school record for most kills in a season (489, third best in the ACC in 2016). Against Syracuse, her 31 kills in a five-set win was a new school record in the rally scoring era for the most in a match, and it was the highest for any ACC player this past season. 10. India Clyburn, golf The rising junior set a new program record for season stroke average (72.60), which was 10th best in the ACC and helped her earn a spot on the All-ACC team. Sixteen of her 28 rounds were even par or better, and she finished in the top 10 in six of her 10 tournament appearances. — Matt Carter Senior Alexia Zevnik earned five ACC gold medals and All-America honors in the same races (three individual, two relays) during her final campaign.
