JULY 2017 ■ 93 FOOTBALL PREVIEW 2017 DEFENSIVE LINE families well and they're really good people." Chubb emerged his junior year, playing himself into speculation that he could enter the NFL Draft. He made the wise decision to return to NC State and could be in line for a dominant wire-to-wire senior season. Chubb had 10.5 sacks last year, but they came in bunches — three against Notre Dame and two apiece against Wake Forest and Syracuse. Being more consistent — he had six games without a sack and a seventh with just half a sack — could take Chubb to another level. Patrick calls him the "bell cow" of the defense. "Nobody is more electric in the country than Bradley Chubb is when he steps onto that field," Patrick said. "He has an uncanny ability to beat blocks. "Michael Jordan had the ability to make others around him great. Chubb has the ability to make others around him great because of how he deals with them, how he works with them and how he plays with them." Street and Roseboro were both Rivals.com four-star top-100 recruits in their respective classes. Street bounced back and forth between tackle and end his first two years, before settling down on the latter. Street set new career highs with nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks among his 30 tackles last year. "Street is going to do his job and do it well," Patrick said. "Pound for pound, he's the strongest player on our team. He's 280 pounds and can run 4.58, 4.62 [in the 40-yard dash], vertical jump 40 inches almost, bench 360 pounds and squat more than anybody." Roseboro pushed Street for snaps all throughout last year and oozes long-term potential. He ended the 2016 season with 25 tack- les, 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks — he had three versus Old Dominion. Roseboro was once projected to excel at defensive tackle, but has settled in at defensive end. "He has the ability and football IQ to play either end position," Patrick said. "Nobody is going to outwork him." The Jones-Hill duo combined for 82 tackles and four sacks last Defensive End Roster STARTERS No. Name Yr. Ht. Wt. Hometown 9 Bradley Chubb Sr. 6-4 275 Marietta, Ga.
