AUGUST 2017 THE WOLVERINE 51   FOOTBALL RECRUITING Cameron McGrone, 6-1, 210, Indianapolis (Lawrence Central)* Just offered in June after visiting, McGrone is now being viewed as a Michigan lean. He plans to be in Ann Arbor again for the BBQ July 29 and will likely be on commit watch during that trip. David Reese, 6-2, 210, Vero Beach, Fla. (Vero Beach)* Built like a Greek god, Reese spent a day in Ann Arbor with friend and fellow offeree Jamien Sherwood, and is one of Michigan's top targets at linebacker. Otis Reese, 6-2, 195, Leesburg, Ga. (Lee County) Reese is the longest-tenured Michigan commit, dating back to June 2016. He's still being pursued by a lot of big-time programs, but he's solid to U-M. Shayne Simon, 6-2, 195, Jersey City, N.J. (St. Peter's Prep) A perfect Viper in Don Brown's system, Simon is high on Michigan but is also heavily considering Notre Dame. Both programs seem to feel good about their chances. Cornerback Sammy Faustin, 6-2, 170, Naples, Fla. (Naples) Michigan might not need another cornerback, but on July 2 Faustin included U-M in his top group along with Maryland, Virginia, Boston College, Iowa State, USC, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Kentucky and Central Florida. Gemon Green, 6-2, 173, DeSoto, Texas (DeSoto) At 6-2, Green is the exact type of athlete Mike Zordich likes at cornerback and that match created a solid commitment. D'Shawn Jamison, 5-10, 174, Houston (Lamar) Jamison likes the way Michigan has used cornerbacks in recent years and has the Wolverines in his top group along with Texas, TCU, Oregon and USC. Myles Sims, 6-3, 173, Atlanta (Westlake) Like Green, Sims is extremely long and is the exact type of cornerback Michigan wants to put on the field. Isaac Taylor-Stuart, 6-2, 177, San Diego (St. Augustine) Taylor-Stuart has elite speed as evidenced by his fastest-man titles at both the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge and The Opening finals. He's one of Michigan's top targets, but that's the situation for most schools recruiting him. Safety Aashari Crosswell, 6-1, 185, Long Beach, Calif. (Poly) Crosswell doesn't talk a lot, but when he does he usually mentions Michi- gan as a school he's quite intrigued by. Trey Dean, 6-2, 180, Hampton, Ga. (Dutchtown) Another big-time prospect from Georgia, Dean is very coveted by teams in the South. He has Michigan in his loose top group along with Texas, Alabama, Georgia, UCLA, Tennessee and South Carolina, and plans to commit July 31. Joseph Foucha, 5-11, 190, New Orleans (McDonogh 35) Foucha is high on Michigan and is close with commit Joe Milton. He doesn't seem to be a top priority for U-M, though, and might be more likely to stay in the South. German Green, 6-2, 180, DeSoto, Texas (DeSoto) Like his twin brother, German is long and athletic. He is coming off of an ACL tear, but is up to speed now, and he is solidly committed to U-M. Julius Irvin, 6-1, 180, Anaheim, Calif. (Servite)* Michigan getting involved late could get interesting, especially if Har- baugh pushes for a commitment. Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington are some other major players in Irvin's recruitment. Josh Jobe, 6-0, 176, Miami (Columbus) — Miami commit Jobe has been open about being done with the recruiting process after pledging to the Hurricanes, but he is still a top target of the Michigan staff. Jamien Sherwood, 6-2, 200, Jensen Beach, Fla. (Jensen Beach)* Previously mentioned alongside friend David Reese, Sherwood is one of Michigan's top targets at safety as well. Academically and fit wise, he's perfect for U-M, and the coaches have made sure he knows it. Athlete Bryan Addison, 6-5, 175, Gardena, Calif. (Junipero Serra)* In early April, Addison released a top five consisting of USC, UCLA, Oregon, Nebraska and Arizona State with Notre Dame, Florida, Georgia, Wash- ington, Arizona and California as schools that he liked but noted that he didn't have offers from at the time. Michigan is also a part of that group. Michael Barrett, 6-0, 200, Valdosta, Ga. (Lowndes) Barrett would be an interesting backfield compliment of already com- mitted Christian Turner. LSU, Michigan and Tennessee are the schools he is currently highest on. James Graham, 6-1, 180, Fitzgerald, Ga. (Fitzgerald) Rivals.com considers Graham, once listed as a dual-threat quarterback, an athlete. Michigan likes him at running back and continues to be a school he mentions in a positive light. Talanoa Hufanga, 6-1, 194, Corvallis, Ore. (Crescent Valley) Hufanga released a top 10 June 1 that consisted of Notre Dame, Utah, Oregon, Alabama, Washington, USC, Michigan, Oregon State, UCLA and Nebraska, but he could be hard to lure out of Corvallis. Shocky Jacques-Louis, 6-0, 170, Fort Myers, Fla. (Dunbar)* New offers from Michigan, Michigan State and Tennessee have come through for Jacques-Louis, and since that happened he decommitted from Kentucky. The talented athlete is giving all suitors a chance. L'Christian Smith, 6-5, 215, Huber Heights, Ohio (Wayne) At 6-5, Smith is a nightmare matchup at wide receiver and was blown away by Michigan during a late April visit, but Ohio State is going to be difficult to beat. Commitments in bold italics * Received a Michigan offer between May 8 and July 10 Master List Notes Committed To Michigan: OT Ryan Hayes and OT Jalen Mayfield. Decommitted From Michigan: None.
