To the contrary, Hamilton's response to that play – he appeared inconsolable on the sideline after the game – and his re- sponse in the time since, during which he has intensified his already considerable work ethic, is exactly what teammates and coaches have come to expect. "He likes to put a lot of things on his shoulders and be really, really hard on himself," fellow wideout Saeed Blacknall said. "But he knows that this is a team sport and it takes 11 guys to go where we need to go. So for him, that response doesn't shock me, but it didn't change his work ethic, it didn't change the team, it didn't change the way we loved him."
