LIKE A ROCK
There will not be a Shamrock Series game for the first time since 2009,
but Notre Dame still will have an Under Armour alternative uniform, wear-
ing it when the Irish host Navy on Senior Day Nov. 18. The uniform will
celebrate 1918-30 Notre Dame coaching legend Knute Rockne and will in-
clude, per the insets: gloves that spell out Rockne, in addition to his name
being on the back of each jersey; his "we're going inside of them, we're
going outside of them" speech stenciled in by the shoulders; three stars
along the neck of the jersey; and football cleats fashioned in an old style.
