14 SEPT. 11, 2017 BLUE & GOLD ILLUSTRATED UNDER THE DOME • Junior guard Rex Pflueger and senior big man Austin Torres spent time overseas in Madrid, Spain, this August playing with USA East Coast, which is a team comprised of college players. They faced off against various national teams, highlighted by Pflueger hitting a game-winning three-pointer against the Madrid Generals. • Senior center Martinas Geben helped lead Lithuania to a gold medal at the World Univeristy Games in Taiwan (see Top Of The Class, page 16). • Notre Dame's current three-man haul for the class of 2018 ranks No. 6 in Rivals' team rank- ings. The network recently updated its top 150, with some movement among the Fighting Irish pledges, all four-star prospects. Prentiss Hubb, a 6-2, 155-pound guard from Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga, dropped from No. 62 to No. 83. Robby Carmody, a 6-4, 175-pound guard from Mars (Pa.) High, moved from No. 89 to No. 86. Dane Goodwin, a 6-4, 170-pound guard from Up- per Arlington (Ohio) High stayed at No. 105. A top big man target is Northfield (Mass.) Mount Hermon product Nate Laszewski (6-9, 205), who was scheduled for an official visit with the other three to the Notre Dame-Georgia game Sept. 9. His rating moved up from No. 97 to No. 69.
