THE LATEST Anoma collected more than 20 scholarship offers throughout the spring and summer, but he hasn't been able to visit many schools. Aside from Maryland, the only schools in his top five that he's been able to visit are Penn State and Alabama. Anoma is ex- pected to use all five of his official vis- its, although none had been scheduled as of this writing, so his recruitment will probably continue past the early signing period into January. We know the staff has real interest in Anoma, but will Penn State have any scholarships left by the time he commits? As of mid-September, that was looking doubtful. Jayson Oweh ★★★★ DE, 6-5, 240 Blairstown, N.J. Blair Academy SCHOOLS Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State THE LATEST Oweh was in town for the Friday Night White Out Camp and Lasch Bash in July. He then went on to visit Notre Dame (July 20) and Ohio State (July 21). Oweh wanted to make a deci- sion a4er those visits, but we're under the impression that he was torn between the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions. Now, Oweh has decided to hold o2 and take some o3cial visits. He traveled to Ohio State on the weekend of its game against Oklahoma, made an uno3cial visit to Penn State the following weekend for the Georgia State game and is expected to o3cially visit PSU Nov. 18-19 when it will play host to Nebraska. Notre Dame will also likely receive a visit this season, but we expect Oweh to commit to either Ohio State or Penn State when he an- nounces his decision Jan. 1 at the Under Armour All-America Game. Micah Parsons ★★★★★ DE, 6-3, 240 Harrisburg, Pa. Harrisburg SCHOOLS Penn State, Alabama, Baylor, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, North Car- olina State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCLA, USC THE LATEST Parsons took his 1rst o3- cial visit Sept. 9-10 when he traveled to Ohio State for its game against Okla- homa. We know he's also planning to take an o3cial visit to Nebraska on the week- end of Oct. 7-8 for its game against Wis- consin. Many still consider Ohio State the team to beat, although our colleagues in Columbus have told us a few times that OSU's sta2 has mixed feelings concern- ing Parsons. That's not the case at Ne- braska, as the Cornhuskers made a major push this summer. He also spoke very highly of his visit to Lincoln in June. Par- sons attended Penn State's game against Georgia State and he may return later this season, but it's unclear if he'll use one of his o3cial visits to check out the Nittany Lions. We feel better about Penn State's chances now compared to the beginning of the summer, but there are still plenty of twists and turns ahead. Tyreke Smith ★★★★ DT, 6-4, 250 Cleveland Heights, Ohio Cleveland Heights SCHOOLS Penn State, Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, USC FIVE-STAR PHENOM Parsons is still con- sidering Penn State, but Nebraska has been making a big push recently.
