The NHL CARL HAGELIN IS READY FOR A BIG YEAR IN PITTSBURGH Former Michigan standout Carl Hagelin has played in 39 playoff games with the back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins the last two seasons, but he's not showing any signs of fatigue. Jourdan Lewis • NFL The Dallas Cowboys rookie is in the running for 2017 NFL Defen- sive Rookie of the Year per Pro Football Focus, standing sixth overall on the site's list as of Oct. 15. Lewis ranked as the third-best play- maker among all NFL corners through five games, ranking behind only the Eagles' Patrick Robinson and the Bills' Tre'Davious White.
