The Wolverines, who had beaten the Nittany Lions by 39 points last year in Ann Arbor, absorbed a flurry of early haymakers in the rematch, then began throwing some punches of their own, shaving 13 points off of the hosts' early two-touchdown lead. But in the end, the second-ranked Nittany Lions got their victory, and they got it by a margin that was nearly as lopsided as last year's. Final score: Penn State 42, Michigan 13. "I'm pleased with how we're playing right now," coach James Franklin said.
