Penn State hits the Wolverines with a little bit of everything
For a while during last night's White Out game at
Beaver Stadium, it seemed as though Michigan was
going to spoil Penn State's bid for redemption. The
Wolverines, who had beaten the Nittany Lions by
39 points last year in Ann Arbor, absorbed a flurry
of early haymakers in the rematch, then began
throwing some punches of their own, shaving 13
points off of the hosts' early two-touchdown lead.
But in the end, the second-ranked Nittany Lions
got their victory, and they got it by a margin that
was nearly as lopsided as last year's. Final score:
Penn State 42, Michigan 13.
"I'm pleased with how we're playing right now,"
coach James Franklin said. "One of the things we're
