"We had a good thing going there, and then we turned the ball over and gave them momentum," Franklin said. "I don't think defensively we handled that sudden change well. ABer that turnover, they kind of got some momentum and moved the ball more than they had up to that point." LOOKING AHEAD Franklin always keeps the celebrations brief, and that's going to be a necessity this week, because Penn State's toughest matchup of the season is now less than a week away. Ohio State is coming off a bye week, and that definitely helps the Buckeyes' cause. But let's face it, they would be a tough out even if they had played a triple-overtime game this weekend. In addition to their sizable home field ad- vantage – Penn State has gone 2-10 in Columbus since joining the Big Ten – the Buckeyes boast the No. 1 scoring offense in the conference at 47.3 points per game, and the fourth-best scoring defense, having given up an average of only 15.4 points through seven games. The Nittany Lions haven't won in Columbus since 2011, the year before Urban Meyer's arrival. If they're going to re- verse that trend, they're going to have to be as focused as possible, because Ohio State will be looking to claim some redemption of its own following last year's 24-21 upset loss to Penn State. McSorley enjoyed one of the better games of his career, throwing for 282 yards and rushing for 76. He also had four scores: one pass- ing, three rushing. Photo by Steve
