BKB PREVIEW 12-13 Rodney Purvis 0 ■ SG the No. 4 point guard and No. 12 player in the country … Purvis averaged 26.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game his senior year at Raleigh Upper Room Christian Acad- emy … Played three years of varsity basketball at Upper Room — he reclassified to the class of 2012 and didn't have a sophomore prep season … Purvis played in both the McDon- ald's All-American Game in Chicago and the Jordan Brand Classic in Charlotte, where he was co-MVP with 22 points. He also played for the gold medal-winning USA under-18 squad June 16-20 at the FIBA Americas Champion- ship in Sao Sebastiao do Paraiso, Brazil … Played traveling team basketball with Chris Paul All-Stars.
