■ BASKETBALL RECRUITING Rivals.com recruiting analyst Eric Bossi said the three are all different from each other despite the closeness in the rankings and sheer size in the paint. "Woodson is an interesting one. When he wants to play hard and is in good shape, he is very skilled," Bossi said. "He isn't a high-flyer, but he knows how to use angles and his body." Anya is known for his 7-9 wingspan, which helps him defensively and on the boards. "I think Anya is the guy that the hope is to get him in a college weight room and change his body a little bit," Bossi said. "Then you have a long-armed shot-block- ing five man. I don't think anyone thinks he can play power forward." Meeks earns high marks for his skill level and passing ability, whether out of the post or making outlet passes. "I thought Kennedy Meeks played much better during the second half of the sum- mer in the games I watched," Bossi said. "He's a big kid, has good hands, and can shoot and really pass. The key for him is to find a good blend of face-up stuff and his back-to-the-basket game. There is no one who can handle him if he makes himself a back-to-the-basket player." Woodson is the most likely of the three to decide first, with NC State and Baylor his final choices. "I'll sit down with my aunt and [men- tor/coach] Kevin Robinson and get their thoughts," Woodson said. "Then I'll make my decision. It's a big decision, but Pinson, a 6-5 wing forward, was one of the star uncommitted prospects at Primetime With The Pack Oct. 12. The Rivals.com No. 13-ranked player was excited to watch former Chris Paul All-Stars traveling team- mate Rodney Purvis take the court for the Wolfpack, and to see the changes that have occurred in the program first-hand. Pinson made his long-awaited return trip after watching NC State fall 76-62 to Florida State on Feb. 18, 2012, at what was then called the RBC Center. The Wolfpack struggled on offense, and the game became better known for referee Karl Hess ejecting NCSU legends Chris Corchiani and Tom Gugliotta. NC State rebounded from that tough loss The Wolfpack is in the final two, along with Baylor, for 6-9, 295-pound Dominic Woodson of Huntington (W.Va.) Prep. Rivals.com ranks him as the No. 37 player and No. 2 center in the senior class. PHOTO COURTESY RIVALS.COM NC State knows that I'll fit the program. They told me a lot of encouraging things about the school and asked what I thought about stuff." Standout Junior Theo Pinson Is Impressed With Changes At NC State High Point (N.C.) Wesleyan Christian junior star Theo Pinson could definitely see a difference since the last time he went to see NC State play. and ended up reaching the semifinals of the ACC Tournament and the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. This season, the Wolf- pack is the preseason favorite to win the ACC and is ranked in the top 10 nationally. The RBC Center has since changed to PNC Arena, and the practice facilities have continued to receive upgrades. NC State has also been on a roll recruiting, proving last year's No. 4-ranked class, according to Rivals.com, wasn't a fluke. NC State has added prep senior com- mits Anthony Barber, a point guard from Hampton (Va.) High, and power forward Kyle Washington of Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy, and junior commits Caleb Martin and Cody Martin, who are top-50 players from Davie County High in Mocksville, N.C.
