"From my perspective, as a parent, I feel
as if Penn State, Oklahoma and Georgia
are the three that :t him the best," Ter-
rence Parsons said. "Now, his top three
may be di;erent, but from what I've seen
from those three schools, I know they're
going to take care of him as both a student
and an athlete. All of them are in a great
position to make sure he's set a=er
school. I like those three and what they
have to o;er.
"With Penn State, the one thing that
always sticks out to me is that
they're much closer to home
than all the other schools.
Family is very important to

be able to come support him,

sive linemen before the final signing day
in February, Smith was another impor-
tant guest for the staff in December.

prospect took official visits to Alabama,
Ohio State, Oregon and USC, allowing
Penn State to earn his fifth and final of-
ficial visit. Smith's visit was his second
to University Park this fall, as he also at-
tended the game against Michigan in
