PROVIDING A BOOST
ON AND OFF THE FLOOR
Freshman guard Jordan Poole (No. 2) has been the most demonstra-
tive player on the Michigan basketball bench throughout the year, but
got his chance to make a big impact on the court in the Big Ten opener
against Indiana Dec. 2.
The 6-4 rookie from Milwaukee logged a career-high 27 minutes on
the floor and exploded for a team-high 19 points, thanks to 7-of-12
shooting overall and a 5-of-10 performance from behind the three-
point arc, in the 69-55 victory.
Poole entered the contest with 27 total points in the Wolverines' first
eight tilts, six of which he played in — but never more than 12 minutes.
He went back to playing a secondary role on the floor — and leading
the cheers from the bench in the most entertaining way possible — fol-
lowing the long-ball barrage, but did net 12 points in 15 minutes of the
90-58 win over Detroit Mercy Dec. 16 in Detroit's Little Caesars Arena.
