cavalier profile ALEX DOMIJAN Third-Year • Tennis Alex Domijan has staked his claim to being one of the best to ever play for head coach Brian Boland's Virginia tennis program, which is saying something consider- ing all those who have achieved great success with the Cavaliers. This fall, the 6-7 third-year from Wesley Chapel, Fla., accomplished something only two other players have ever done before — he won the singles title at the ITA All-American Championships for a second time. Domijan's first title came at the event in 2010, and after missing last year's tournament due to an injury, he claimed another title in early October in Tulsa with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Ohio State's Peter Kobelt. He joined K.J. Hippensteel of Stanford and Al Parker of Georgia as the only players to win the tournament twice. "This tournament isn't exactly what we train for, jan said. "Regardless, it's a great honor and it's a very unique tournament. You play a lot of tennis in a short period of time and it becomes very physical. "It's how we train in the summer that made all of the difference," Domijan said.
